Chinese tungsten concentrate prices started to rise from last week after miners lifted contract prices for the month. On Friday October 12, spot prices of concentrate with 65% metal content were at 106,000-107,000 yuan ($16,807-16,965) per tonne, up 1,000-2,000 yuan from a week ago. This is the first time prices have increased since May.
